Recycle your used ink and toner cartrideges to help support disabled children.
Heads Up has been around since 1986, and they provide therapy for children with a range of disabilities, be they physical, mental or emotional.
Horseback Therapy at Heads Up involves putting children on and around horses, which provides sensory input, and stimulates rhythmic patterns that the disabled may lack. In addition, the therapy expands the child’s social interaction by letting them form a bond with the horses and other children in the classes.
“The goal is to expand their world and give them a larger quality of life.” Says Tindell, who noticed the therapy’s success in her son who has Asperger’s Syndrome.
